Saskia Keultjes is an independent visual artist from Berlin, living and working in her home studio in Kreuzberg. She likes exploring new territories, and her drawings are spontaneous, simple, honest, brave and wild. She often purposefully leaves the mistakes in her work and likes to break the traditional instilled rules of art. Her favorite creation tools are: found things, ink, pen, pencil, brush pen, colored pencils and sometimes digital tools. Since age of 4, she always feel the need to express herself through different ways: singing, acting, dancing, writing and of course drawing. Through her artwork, she hopes to express exactly what is in her heart at an exact moment, and the sincere immediate urge of creating. Her own feelings and childhood memories are her greatest inspiration, but she is inspired by nature, contrasts, colors, lines, people and lights.
